Lives begin... and lives have a physical end...
When we want to remember someone, probably the first place we go, is the photo album or a portrait on the wall.
If you were remembered by the photos that currently exist, what would they say about you, or even your family?
At every birthday, someone takes a photo of someone blowing out candles, or opening gifts... "smile". Another Christmas of people in pajamas, opening presents. An engagement... then the wedding... a new born baby in the hospital... Graduation in the cap and gown, maybe Prom or another formal.
Is this what your life is and was about?
Are they true?
Maybe they are...
So much hinges on the still image... your photographs are worth preserving. If your photo only exists in one place, then it can be easily damaged or lost to disaster. How often have you seen someone poking through rubble after a storm or fire has taken their home away? They are often seen holding a photo, a memory they hang on to.
This is not a pitch, but rather a reminder, to preserve and care for the memories you have, the very best you can. Get a portrait of someone in your family, just being themselves, not "posing" nor acting for the camera, a real representation of who they were in that moment.
